I might just take this as a loss because it isn't too much value in it. It's hard to determine if it ended up missing because the box is all smashed. One thing I know for certain is I have a original UBR stock and it would not fit into this box but it is hard to determine the original box size as it is all smashed. If it was a little bigger, it would fit so it's hard to tell.
1) That is an Amazon box. Look for the box code on the bottom or one of the flaps. They are usually 2 or 3 characters (A3, 2BK, etc). You can google the box code and it will tell you the original dimensions of that type of box.
2) It is my understanding that the seller is responsible for you getting your items intact. Doesn't matter if USPS smashed it up or if the seller just didn't include the stock at all. You shouldn't "take this as a loss", but should be made whole regardless of the circumstances. If I was the seller, you'd be getting an immediate refund, and I would hash out the insurance stuff with USPS on my own time.
