What is it?
The First Strike Ration (FSR) is a compact, eat-on-the-move assault ration designed for short duration of highly mobile, high intensity combat operations. The FSR is substantially reduced in weight and enhances Warfighter consumption, nutritional intake, and mobility.
Weighing only 3.5 lbs, it's much lighter and less bulky than an MRE, while packing twice the calories!
What's in it?
The contents of one FSR provides enough food for an entire day in a mobile and combat intensive scenario and ~3000+ calories.
How do I eat it?
All components of this ration are eat-out-of-hand/eat-on-the move type foods that require no or little preparation by the Warfighter.
How long will it last?
The shelf life of the FSR is 3 years at 80 degrees Fahrenheit..
