Hello,

I am hoping to improve my glacially slow reloading times on my Benelli M2.  Well, I can drop shells onto my shoes pretty damn fast at least.

Do you have a preference for "practice loading" rounds?  Brands of snapcaps that hold up?

Search youtube for "how to make dummy rounds"

I wouldn't use snapcaps for practice due to the weight. Brownells sells good dummy rounds, or make your own.

Thanks!  I had no idea that Brownells made dummy rounds.

My thumbs, though, may not thank you.

I use the ones from Brownells.  I like them.  And, you are correct about the thumbs!

Another vote for Brownells dummies. Fantastic for practice. Keep the bandaids nearby.

If you get your port opened properly, you can get it setup so that the middle of your thumb, and not the end of your thumb, drives the shell past the shell catch.

It was a revelation to me when I finally got mine setup properly.

Make sure you try loading with real shells too.  Different hulls may have different retention in the caddies.  I found out the hard way that the Brownells dummies I was practicing with came out of the caddies a lot easier than the Remington Gun Clubs I was shooting.
