I have noticed that Colt and BCM seem to have very heavy dose of chrome (thickness) at the entry point for the bolt.  I have had less luck with Toolcraft.

I am looking for just the carrier, phosphated and chrome lined, and interested in other's experience.

I realize this is a hard topic, and not interested in "mine works fine..."  I am interested in actual comparisons, how ever unscientific for a bolt carrier (only) that is available for sale.  Like I said, the Bravo is great, but I don't want the full BCG, and I don't want a logo.

This is an odd request and I highly doubt you'll find a vendor to say that they offer the thickest chrome.

What is your end goal?

Well, I am looking to build out a private label BCG.  That is the goal.  Start with the parts I want.  Bolt is covered.  Started there.  Idea is to build the best BCG I can.  It sounds like tilting at windmills, I know.  I am ADD, so I need 6 projects going at a time.  

I did not think the request was that odd.  Maybe it is.  I am not looking for any vendor to opine, but rather those who build on the AR platform, and might purchase blank carriers themselves.

What I am looking for is a carrier that has somewhere around 1/8" or a little less of chrome showing at the front-end.  From what i have observed, most carrier manufacturers have enough chrome inside the index, but many have very little showing at the front.  Colt and Bravo Company seem to have a good circle of chrome around the front opening.  I am looking for observations, and recommendations as to which manufacturer might offer that in a carrier.
