I got to play with the pressure switch/dimmer knob tonight and I noticed that the dimmer only effects the laser.  Is that normal?  I figured that it'd dim the illuminator as well but all it does is kind of flash when the knob clicks into each position on the knob.

I'm still amazed at how bright the laser is on this thing. It's still a very defined and bright dot on the top of some trees 7 houses down from me.

My brother has an IKS hooked up to a KV-5P switch and that's how it works with that setup.  It seems to adjust a very slow pulsation to the laser.

Yes. I have the ir version of that model.

From the video, it sounds like she said that with the pressure switch hooked up the dimmer will only control the laser. It sounds like mine is working as it should.
