Finally got mine after close to a year. Did the plan B mount and put it on my 16 inch.

Holy crap, I expected it to be loud, but it wasn't. This thing rocks, at least on my long barrel.

I really wish they'd warranty down to 10.3 instead of 10.5, I'd buy another. Sent them an email and they said it'd be fine on a 10.3 but that it would void warranty.

I was expecting ears ringing and was totally surprised. I swear its quieter than my 556 SD on a 10.3 bbl.

Took mine out for the first time today as well. Did a great job but definitely more gas in the face than I expected. Also burnt myself with it, but I suppose every does that at the beginning.

I am glad I mounted mine on my 11.5 instead of my 10.3 I guess. I can't imagine .2 inches makes any difference.

It will be fine on 10.3, but void the warranty?  That doesn’t sound like it’s fine to me.

Our recommended minimum length for that suppressor is 10.5". With that being said the suppressor will handle just fine on a 10.3" barrel it will just void the warrenty if the suppressor does malfunction in any way.

Copy/paste from email

Maybe using a mount and not direct thread will give me the .2in to stay in warranty lol

YHM has said a long time ago in the original Turbo k thread that they’d warrant a 10.3”

I’ve shot almost nothing but 10.3” full auto through mine.

I have an email somewhere from them where I asked if the 10.5” was a hard line or if my Colt 10.3” was ok and they said it was fine, doesn’t matter anyway because I just sold that upper and don’t have the can yet.

I makes the difference between 2.8 inches and 3 inches, and only one of those is considered a micropenis

Serious question--do you have any hearing damage? 556 is too loud in my experience suppressed without ear pro

My hearing has been fine when tested for work and previously for the .mil and I can comfortably shoot a 10.5" 556 with a specwar k or omega, etc. Heck, my Sig srd762qd makes my sbr scar 17 comfortable to shoot without ear pro. With the Sico omega it's quiet but there's still a high pitched report that is too loud.

Surefire's can on a 10.3 mk18  was too loud.

All of these (except the mk18) are at high elevation in Utah (not sure if that makes a difference) and outdoors in the wide open without trees or rocks, etc around, so I think that helps.

This excites me. Mine is for primary use on my 11.5" So the 10.3" was not bad?

You think something has changed since he stated it last year?

Generally minimum barrel lengths would get less restrictive over time, not more...as they’d be able to test additional calibers and barrel lengths.

It’s a 1 year wait for another if something goes wrong.
Their CS has told me via email it won’t be warranties under 10.5.
Their CS has stated here in the above link it will be covered to 10in.
Most recent info is won’t be covered under 10.5.
Would like a final answer before I go nuts on an item that can take up to a year to replace, if something goes wrong and it is deemed out of warranty

This weekend I shot my 556 through my turbo k suppressor. Also shot the PS 90 which is a 5.7 rounds through it.

I did not wear ears for any of it it didn’t hurt me at all.

Was also shooting super sonic 308 thru my Sandman L, no ears.  Host was a PSA AR10, with adjustable gas block.

ETA:
Yes I also have constant EEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I understand there's been some confusion about covered barrel lengths.  10.3" will be perfectly safe and covered under warranty. I will make sure my guys are informed of this again.   Sorry for the misleading answers.

What are you guys running to mitigate the gas? I have a Resonator that finally is mine after 300+ days in jail and plan to take it out this weekend. I'm running it on a 16" gun with a PRI gas buster. Not to hijack the tread since this was about Turbos (which might be next on my list).

Have you shot it yet?
Why do you think you have a gas issue?

Just speculation, but now that you point it out I really should test it out in advance and see what happens first. Just stuck in meetings wishing I was at the range, haha.

I shot my turbo k on two different AR’s this weekend.

Lots of gas out of the port for sure.

Love it on my PS90, tho!
