Figure I can answer all the questions at once in a single post since they are all in the same vein.
The bolt group is essentially a modified AR-15 9mm blowback bolt carrier. Modifications are necessary to make it interface properly with the Scorpion EVO magazine. I can't go into much detail on the bolt modifications at this point (we don't want to give too much away to the competition on a public forum) but the blowback carrier is the only one that can take the required modifications.
The upper and lower receiver have standard AR-15 takedown pin, trigger group locations, and a standard AR-15 upper would mount to the lower (although the profiles would not match at the interface). Scorpion EVO magazines will not fit into a standard AR-15 upper receiver as they are wider than the clearance cuts made in the upper receiver, hence why there is also a dedicated upper in addition to the lower.
Wraithworks is pretty open to customer input and feedback, and I will let them know that there is potential interest in the uppers/lowers being sold separately.
FYI, none of the above is meant to come off as rude, hopefully it does not.
Let me know if I can answer any other questions.
