SBR w Custom fabricated replica of TMP front grip by Clint Lynch. Recoil is snappy due to light overall weight. Magazines are expensive and fragile compared to glock or magpul polymers. Red dot sight a must. Very compact and easily concealed. accurate. take down for cleaning is a bit tricky the first couple of times.
fun fact...used by the French version of POTUS Detail, used by Germans in Afgn during my time w them. |

I owned one for about a month. The trigger is horrible, even worse than my UZI. The iron sights are an after thought. On the plus side, it is super easy to SBR since the folding stock just screws on.
Not worth the price IMHO. |

I've got two early imports with threaded barrel shrouds; one is SBR'd. My triggers are mediocre - they're essentially two stage triggers, but with not allot of tactile feedback. Once you learn the reset, you can get rounds off fast. Not sure why the above poster said recoil is snappy, mine aren't at all and, in fact, the rotating locking mechanism is designed to mitigate recoil and does so effectively.
A red dot is great. Mags aren't cheap, but they're also pretty robust. I've dropped mine and they've been fine. The best feature of the TP9 is the fact that it truly Suppressed beautifully with a high-volume can. I've got a Thompson Machine SG2 with a custom mount that turns it into a pellet gun. I like mine allot. It's unique in the market except for maybe the MP7 in terms of weight, though the TP9 is much smaller than the MP7. The only PDW I prefer is the PS90. |

I just received my TP9 about 2 weeks ago. The size and ergonomics are exceptional. I'm still playing around with red dots, but currently tossed on a Triicon MRO. I like the HEIGHT of the MRO because it lines up really fast without a Brace/Stock. Speaking of Brace....I contacted SB tactical this week and a Brace should be available by the end of summer for the TP9. The mags seem decently built, but like any foreign exotic weapon they are pricey. I've been buying MP5 mags for years so I'm use to it. I also plan to buy other B&T subguns over the next 12 months to complete this portion of my collection.
The trigger is not NEARLY as bad some guys keep saying. Actually, for what this is its perfect. Is this little sub gun suppose to have the accuracy of a SCAR, ACR or AR with $300.00 triggers? Of course not - its not what these weapons are designed for. Few quick pics of mine

I just sold the old incarnation I had (SPP 9), I liked it ok but I wanted to SBR and the only stocks floating around were $400. I used the money to buy the P26, kept most
of my mags from the SPP since they fit the P26. Stock to sbr the P26 is less expensive. Also tough to find anything to put on the "barrel", shroud is over the barrel, pretty strange setup. |

That custom front grip is what I've been looking for for my TP9 for YEARS.
Everything I've tried is clunky and not very ergonomic. It would be great if the creator of that custom grip would be willing to make a few more, is he a member here or might you have his contact info? Oh and just to add to the thread:

I don't have a TP9 only because they put the serial number in the wrong place, and you can't add a proper vertical fore grip.... Until now. If I can buy that grip, I will buy the rest to go on it.

Absolutely love mine. I started a thread that no one responded to about the generations of TP9 available in the US. We're on Gen III.
I wouldn't trade mine for the world, but, it has it's limitations. Nothing is as small and light as the TP9 other than the Uzi Pro. The Swiss Army recently adopted the MP9 as their new subgun. That gives me confidence in it. My DS Arms import needed to run ~250 rounds through it before it "loosened up a bit". I have had ZERO malfunctions after those 250 rounds. ETA: I'm in for a foregrip! ETA: I have to respectfully disagree about the magazines being fragile. I have purposefully kept a 30 rounder loaded to 30 rounds (B+T is VERY clear about NOT loading to capacity, but, to load to 29 Rounds) for going on a year with no spreading of the feed lips. |

I had the TP9 but had a lot of problems getting it to run right?
Had an original Steyr SPP that ran great, found one of the detachable TMP shoulder stocks a while back when I got it form 1'd. super handy...wish I still had it. Now i have the stock sitting here with no gun

Steyr SPP/TMP fixed stock B+T used to advertise the same style fixed stock for the MP9 series. I tried to source one from Canada ~5 years ago with no luck. I haven't seen the B+T stocks advertised for some time. |

I'm also totally in for a VFG for the TP9.
If they are digitized in CAD / Solidworks, perhaps a run 3D printed out of carbon fiber infused plastic? I believe Shapeways and a few other 3D printing services offer this material and the ability to do "on demand" ordering of products. |

Alright boys and girls. I apologize if I'm stepping on Mr.Lynch's toes but I will take on this challenge. I don't know if there will ever be a finished product so don't start getting your hopes up but I"m going to do my best.
I'm going to need some help though. Not having my own TP9 may prove to be my biggest obstacle. But why not give it a shot? Some of the dimensions I need are as follows: Length of the pistol grip, I will make the forward grip slightly smaller and shorter of course but I want something to base it off of.
