Im having trouble deciding between and surefire socom rc7.62 mini2 can or the dedicated 5.56 can, mainly for cloning purposes but i still want to be able to use it with .300 blk and occasionally 308 and 6.5 creed but the main use is gonna be 5.56.

open to other surefire options as well, because i prefer their mounting system to other companies

Mainly looking for size and dependability.

this will be my first suppressor!

Are you stuck on Surefire for cloning?

No way I'd spend money on an 762 mini

Rc1 556 or 300sps or non-surefire

I have a block II build in the works so kinda stuck to cloning cans.

I dont really care about dB reduction, more about accuracy after mounting the suppressor, and less blowback gas blowback.

Get the 5.56 RC or RC2 and save for a larger caliber can (Surefire or otherwise).

Get the 5.56rc now. They have been on sale for sub $700. I don’t have the 7.62rc but word is it sucks with blackout. 300sps is great so unfortunately get both. I agree their mounting system is very nice.

I have a rc1 556 and a 762.

For your cloning you want the 556, just do that one for now.
The mounts are awesome, and repeatability of POI, toughness, and mounting system is awesome.

The 762 is a good choice too, but don't get stuck on surefire for 308/6.5.  It's a good choice, but the modular cans that do it all simply is a better cost advantage.  My buddy has a hybrid, it does 9mm/45, and all the rifle cals.  And it's light, and I think a little more quiet. The ability to stick it on pistol caliber carbines and pistols is fucking great. The weight on a scorpion or a kriss feels really good.

My 762 is exclusively on a 300blk, and it's quiet as a mouse.  I hear people say that it doesn't do 300 good but I disagree, it's great.
It's a really tough heavy can, I can club a baby seal with it with confidence.  I'd buy both again with out a doubt, but I do like the do it all cans, they are the most bang for the buck.

Word of a advice, get multiple 22 cans!  They are the funniest ones!!!

That's the difference in 566 and 762 on a MK18, the 762 just is too big.
The bottom is the 762 on a AAC 9 inch 300blk
Good luck, hope seeing the difference in size on the guns helps

I would vote AGAINST the 7.62 mini.  My research when I was looking into it uncovered that people’s experience was that it wasn’t really good at anything. Too little volume for 300blk/.308 and too big a bore for 5.56.

I would vote 5.56 RC1/2 (I have one of each) or a 5.56 Mini.

Looks like there's your answer. RC1 5.56 at current sale prices and a 7.62 suppressor later.

Would recommend against a Mini in any flavor as a first or only suppressor. More of a signature reduction device than a 'silencer.'

Minis are my favorite, my shortest is an M4S. But people new to cans are disappointed with them.

get the 5.56 can for clone correctness and buy another brand for the 7.62

These are the older models, but half the price.

Don't know anything about the company, but the prices are half for the previous versions.

I have the 556 socom, 762 mini, and 30 sps. if I were you I would get a 556 socom and 300 sps. the mini is really cool and short but I don't think youll be happy with the performance on a subsonic 300blk.
