If possible, I'm looking for a AR15 LR that is built to M16 specs WITHOUT having to mill the walls or shelf area to make it functional. Most common one I can find is the Plum Crazy LR but I would rather avoid using plastic.

Thank you Kitbuilder.

To confirm, will that BCI lower accept the M16 FCG with auto sear (obvously after drilling the required hole) and function FA?

That's what I read.

I haven't tried it myself. It looks the same to me.

I got lowers from black creek precision in Florida that are cut to m16 spec. They refer to it as the lightened cut. They apparently are the Oem mfr for a bunch of other manufacturers. I do not know if all the lowers they produce are built to same spec.

That is not cut to M16 spec.

And what is the hole in the back for?

per their description:

"The lower is also threaded for a 1/4"-28 nylon tipped upper receiver tensioning screw."

So what makes it not M16?  Just curious.  That's an interesting lower if you read the specs.  Like that feature above and the threaded bolt catch and takedown pin are nice, especially for the price.

thx, never heard of a tensioningscrew.

What is not milspec is it is not milled to the bottom on left side near back by selector hole. Tail of sear may or may not work. Same area is not milled enough on bottom over to the right either. Can't be sure, but it is not milspec, see milspec below:

MEGA offered the tensioning screw on some of their lowers too.  Kind of the same idea as an Accu-Wedge to make the upper and lower interface tighter.

Not needed if milled to milspec :-)

Only thing required on the BCI Defense lower is drilling the hole (bowers style jig on Gunbroker work well). I just made one a couple weeks ago on a BCI.
