Last MG shoot here at Red Hill GA a SOT had a FA DshKa. I asked if it was converted to 50 he said no. But then said once we run out of ammo for it they were going to do the conversion.
So someone had large stock pile at one time. |

You can buy new 12.7x108mm ammo. Made by Tula, but not cheap.
The other calibers... reloads, mostly. Tooling is available, and people repurpose existing projectiles (Lathi) or have new projectiles turned (PTRD), and load them into new or modified (for modern primers) cases. |

They are surplus. I will have to dig them out and measure them, but they are close to 60" I would say. If I can't find ammo in quantity, then I would be interested. I was going to make bolt guns out of them.....

Interesting! Well, at some point if you do dig those out and get an idea of the length, shoot me a private message, please.
Bolt guns could be fun, but it would be more fun to design or adapt a mag and make a gigantic semi-auto. Less fun for your wallet in terms of ammo cost, but still. Fun.
