Flip side of the other thread!
I have loved my Omega 9k. Not the quietest, but it's super lightweight on a 300blk and is an awesome subgun can I've also been extremely happy with my Helios QD Ti. Didn't perform well on Jay's Mk18 test, but it is the perfect balance between performance and weight on my 300blk build (primarily shoot supersonic) |
I like my Surefire 556 RC2. I think it’s the best for an AR15 platform
Nomad L
Love it on super and subsonic 300BLK Does just fine on 223/556 It does have more back pressure than I'd hoped for, but an adjustable gas block solves that in short order. I do not feel that the weight or length is a detriment to maneuverability, in the woods. We have brushy woods for what its worth and run this on 10.5" to 16" barrels. Perhaps when knocking down doors and clearing rooms, its not ideal, however I don't find myself doing that very often. |
RC2 - the mount annoys me sometimes but it's a can that will work in 3023 with excellent flash suppression. My go-to when shooting in low/no light.
YHM Turbo - no frills, hard use can that punches above it's weight. It's not light and quite gassy (no free lunch) but for the money I am very happy. Something between 12-15k rounds thru it without any issues. |
Thunderbeast Ultra 5 .30cal
I run it on an 18" 6.5CM gas gun. This can with an adjustable gas block, gives me zero noticeable gas to the face, which as a lefty is amazing. I run AGBs on all of my suppressed 5.56 rifles, and none of them are as pleasant to shoot as this one as far as gas is concerned. Also has a very respectable amount of sound suppression considering it's a tiny little guy. |
Second gen Griffin Explorr 224 taper mount, followed closely by the Dead Air Nomad LT, followed by the Rugged Mustang 22. Those three are fantastic in their respective applications and getting a lot of mileage put on them these days.
YHM Turbo K, purchased under $300, direct thread, super lightweight and I’m always wearing ears.
Toss up between my saker 762 and mask.
Well... I guess the mask would be my 1st, cause it just keeps running on all my 22lr stuff without any issue. The saker I love cause it doesn't matter what I throw it on, it does its job. 7" barrel...sure. full auto....sure. even my precision rigs it works well. |
The one that surprised me the most even to this day is a aac tirant in 45. Sounds awesome on everything
My old POS Thundertrap clone can that ECCO recored and threaded HUB to duplicate his "Accipiter" model. I hated that can with a burning passion before and now it's my favorite. So much so that I've had Nick recore others and both my buddies that have seen my ECCO recores in action have had Nick rebuild several of their cans in addition to buying ECCO's TLX can.
I get compliments and wows almost every time I take it to the range. |
M42K, Sandman S, Wolfman
Rex 358 and Dominus CB are a tier below on satisfaction vs spend |
My Omega 9k and Oculus have convinced more friends to purchase silencers than any of my other cans.
Funny enough, none of them purchased an O9k or Oculus, but I still heard those cans convinced them to get silencers for themselves. I'd say that satisfies me. |
Of my rifle suppressors, the Sandman-S is my favorite by a large margin.
KAC QDC is 2nd fav. |
AEM5 for the precision guns, FA556-212 is a great beater with good performance (still). My F1 integral M&P15-22 is just STUPID fun.
Sierra 5 just got out of jail, and it is an awesome performer in a small package.
EA Nyx Mod 2 is my favorite rimfire can. Wolfman is great on both 9mm carbine and 300 blk. Omega 9k is a great 9mm carbine can that is nice and compact. Hyperion K does a great job on my little 300 blk PDW, but it’s also a nice option for a hunting type rifle. Helios QD Ti is a great and versatile rifle can that is lightweight and performs extremely well. I have a hard time picking just one. |
Griffin Explorr 224.
Hands down my favorite can. Super light, sounds great, good flash suppression. No downsides at all IMO. |
SWR Spectre II. First can I ever bought. I've used it on .22 LR pistols and rifles along with my .22 Magnum rifle, a buddies .17 HMR and .17 WSM.
It's stupid quiet with subsonic .22 and has minimal to zero FRP. It's easy to clean and is built like a tank. Its a little heavy, but that comes with the territory for being a magnum rated rimfire can that is built entirely from 17-4 stainless. |

Totally forgot to mention the TPM P5SD suppressor. Although I think it's more of the "system" than the suppressor
Absolute beast in terms of sound suppression. Huge crowd pleaser, always a favorite when I bring friends out to the range |
Love my Hyperion. Stupid quiet on all my bolt guns... Love it on my ARs as well.
The EA Nyx Mod 1 is crazy quiet and light too. Not much to dislike with it. |

Thunderbeast Ultra 7 30cal
used on 223 all the way up to 300WM with nothing but compliments from bystandards |

I like all mine (basic bitch 22, Griffin Rev 45, and REX 308). my old ass has much cooler stuff than younger me ever even imagined.

I really like my AAC Ti-Rant 9s. It's super shot at 5", and is very handy to use on a pistol compared to the almost 8 inches (that's what she said!) on the full size one.
Cost/performance wise - hard to beat the Silenerco SpecWar K I got from Silencer Shop for 500 bucks, with a mount. Sound - my Surefire 300 SOCOM is very quiet. Silly quiet on a .308 bolt action - truly does sound like a .22 Mag, and about zero recoil. Someone else listed it as their "least satisfied" can in the other topic, based on its weight, which is a full 18 oz. or so, but that's about the weight of any full size 8" rifle suppressor that isn't titanium. |
Very happy with both my cans.
My nomad 30 and r9 both sound great on their respective hosts and I have no regrets. Next can will be a fat cat. |

View Quote I thought I was the only one that liked Specwar 556K, when they were on close out for $500 or less good buy. It's a little longer than a Turbo K and seems a few DB less. I just wish it could direct thread but don't want to put the money into converting to HUB. |

Thunderbeast Ultra series, mostly because I'm a whore for lightweight gear. I have yet to hand somebody my Ultra 5 Gen 2 and them not say something like "holy shit that's incredibly light".

Element 2
Erector 22 Omega 9K Multimount Sig SRD 556 Titanium Barret AM30 Nitro N20 All of them are light and quiet and are my most used suppressors. |

My first 2 cans, SWR Trident 9 and SWR Spectre (upgraded to Spectre II).
Both are 15 years old, but sound great and can compete with todays cans. |

Turbo K/T2 … for the price they can’t be beat.
Well above average muzzle dB performance, well below average price, adaptable to many mounts, and quite small for their respective performance. All hardened 17-4 with Inconel blast baffle eats full auto like a champ. You couldn’t ask for more and if you want to get more, it’ll cost you about 3X as much. |
The suppressor that I use the most is an old jailbroken (by me) Gemtech Outback 2. It’s not the quietest I have but it is very quiet. It is also very light and small and has had uncountable rounds through it as well as cleanings. I don’t worry about scratches or dings because it looks like hell.
I recall that I paid a little less for it than the tax stamp cost. I guess that makes it the one that I am most satisfied with. Hard to go wrong with cheap, light and effective. |
EA Nyx Mod1 would be my favorite. Liked it enough I bought a spare. Have a friend who did exactly the same.
i like the DA wolverine for how it mounts (its a loud combo, but i understand the host isnt doing anyone any favors). weird thing for me to fixate on i suppose, but its a cool system.
Omega (30) on a Plan B.
Light enough, small enough, good performance on a variety of platforms. (I used Rocksett on the tube it’s stayed put) |
