I bought a new USA made scar and it’s has wear on the top and sides. At first I was pissed because I thought that I bought a used gun. I started looking on gun broker and all the new ones have the same wear. Any clue on what scope they use to test fire these with? It had to be a big scope considering the foot print of the mount.

That wear is common on all SCARs and isn't from a scope. The completed guns are mounted into an accelerometer that measures the cyclic rate when test fired. This is part of pre-ship QC.

I’ve seen some NIB guns with noticeable receiver damage from this practice, but shouldn’t effect function at all.
