So I acquired a scout model a while ago.   I have not settled on how I want it to look.   So I thought I would post pictures here and get peoples opinions.   Currently set up as pic 3
Thanks

That being said, I like the top one.

Top and middle. M14s don’t need rails.

What accessories are you wanting to mount? I don't like adding any more weight than necessary, so I'd ditch the large forward rail if possible. I also dislike SA's barrel-mounted scout rail because it gets so hot. A receiver-mounted scope base would get that optic lower and further aft.

Wrapping one’s thumb around the rail after a few quick mags is an eye-opening experience, I’ll tell you.

If you go to a certain range south of Nashville, you can probably still hear my curses echoing through the ‘hollers...

Love the old school wood stock with selector cutout. #3 looks heavy and #2's stock makes me think of a heavy bbl match rifle still with iron sights.

This.  My favorite is the Bush Rifle though.

Because I use my M1A for longer range, I prefer it as it was originally issued like this.

I'll be interested in buying #2 should you decide on the other 2....

In order to help you pick a configuration, we need to know what your objectives for the rifle are.

Once we know that, it is easier to guide you.

Absent that, what you have are three solutions in search of a problem, in search of a raison d' etre.
