I realize that this isn't that big of a deal. But since Microtech recommends Rem Oil, I just picked some up to clean and re-lube my new UTX-85.

Did the same thing on my year old Protech that has never been cleaned or lubed. Wow, what a difference. It fires and folds smoother than it ever has. I wouldn't recommend Rem Oil for firearms to my worst enemy...but it seems to work well on automatics and spring-assisted. However, I remember it having a decent smell. The can I just got has absolutely NO smell at all.

I assume most of you just use whatever you have laying around from your ARs? G96 is my favorite cleaner, I'm just not sure it's the best lube for spring-assisted and automatics.

I got some aerosol Remoil and it works good. But it doesn’t last. It’s pretty dry after a week or two. Wonder if the liquid (non spray) is any better?
