I was going to start a poll, but rather than do that I figured why not mention what you run and also say why you like it. How accurate/ durable/ easy to stay on target in full and burst is it? Interested to hear different views, thanks.

I’ve got all kinds of optics on my ar15s, but on my m16 I run pain old iron sights.

To me, the m16 is more for just blasting away and not trying to be super accurate so the iron sights work fine for that.

The main upper for the m16 is a plain old 11.5” barrel with carry handle.

Aimpoint T1 on my primary upper, which is a mk18 cqbr.

Just irons, the only time I take them out is to do full auto blasting, if I want to shoot semi, I take one of the AR's out.

MRO with ADI QD mount on CQBR upper.

TA31RCO ACOG in ARMS 19S QD mount on M16A4 upper.

TA01NSN ACOG on M4A1 upper.

Aimpoint CompM2 in GG&G cantilever mount on older profile M4A1 upper.

EOTech 553 on 11.5" Commando upper.

All have fixed front sight bases and rear sights are mostly GG&G MAD with one ARMS 40L-P behind the RCO ACOG.

Aimpoint T2 on my 5.56 gun, the .22lr gun has an Eotech. Both are set up with 10.5 barrels.

I put an RMR06 on my LWRC 10.5" a3 upper with a Larue mount. It is light easy to use and adjusts the brightness automatically unlike the aimpoint. I also have irons on a basic upper, Bushnell Tac eite 1x6.5 on a 14" lwrc, ampoint H1 on PWS 7.75", Acog t33 on a 16" LMT upper. Got to have choices.

I currently have 14 uppers. Some have optics, some have iron sights -- it depends on what I use them for.

pro comp m4 aimpoint

i use eotechs on my other AR's...i prefer eotechs as i like the wide field of view...i chose a comp m4 because its what the army uses

Sounds like personal preference dictates, as with most things in this hobby. Lots of trijicon and aimpoint love for sure. Maybe I should have asked what DOESNT work on your M16, LOL!
