I’d like to get a factory built lever action rifle with a saddle ring chambered in .22lr only. Im not going to just add it to one. I also don’t want all the B.S. saddle ring ones I see with all the fancy engraving or limited edition models. I’m going to shoot it a bit and add it to my others.

You can get one for the Henry, it’s $50 more for the replacement receiver cover IIRC. The Mare’s Leg version comes with one installed.

The Winchester 94/22 makes it very easy to install. If you can screw in a bolt you can add a saddle ring. I'd have to check mine but I believe it also acts as the take down screw.

Also, I believe just about every 22LR lever gun will also accept 22 long and 22 short. Your going to have a hard time finding one in 22LR only.

As noted above, an aftermarket saddle ring can be had for the 9422 from Beartooth Mercantile.  It replaced the slotted take down screw.





The pre 1994 non XTR Model 9422s are not checkered, and neither are the 1978 XTRs, like the one above.


Beartooth Mercantile also makes a saddle ring for the BL-22. However, as the take down screw is on the other side, the saddle ring is on the right side rather than the left side of the receiver.  But BL-22s are a lot more common than 9422s and a lot less expensive.
