Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - What is the width between leg rails on GSG MP40 stock? Tailhook Mod-1?

If anyone has SBR'd a GSG MP40, I'd like to know if you can measure the distance between the legs of the stock - where it hits the butt plate.

Curious if a Tailhook Mod one could be moded to fit if the butt plate is removed.

-Remove  stock butt
-Drill hole through Tailhook mod-1 so a long bolt can run through it perpendicular to the legs
-Affix bolt, nut, and washers so it might swivel and be folded???

Just thinking out loud - seems like an expensive experiment if it fails, but If I might try it if dimensions are close enough to play with.

IIRC, Techsmith/Custom Smith was looking at this for the GSG MP40...............I'd be interested to see one for it
