Went shooting this past weekend with a lot of people, most of whom had not shot before or had little experience.

It was a mix of youth to adults.  My 9 year old being more skilled than most.

It was interesting to find these were the firearms that brought the most smiles:

What firearms of yours do you find are "Crowd Pleasers?"

Garands, various AKs, 1903A4, 91/30PU sniper, PSA AK-V, and mp5's all seem to draw attention along with anything that's got a can on it.

our dual rate BAR gets a lot of use

short barrel 1919 at night

We have an AR that has the brake/barrel shorter than the hand guard - it lights up like crazy at night too. People love it

And lastly the full auto 12ga sees a lot of rental time

In order of most Glee or excitement of onlookers..

Suppressed Mack-10. I get a lot of  "Is that an Uzi, is that full auto, is that legal?"   When you get it rocking on a good bump fire, it does sound pretty close to full auto.
Suppressed Savage .22 bolt gun, using the can and Gemtech subs (hard to find).  I've heard that its more quite than a lot of pellet guns.
Scorpion Evo. "Is that from <insert video game here>?"
Any suppressed ARs, SBR or long.
Shorter length 12 ga with Dragons Breath Flame thrower shells. Honestly a waste of money other than the "Woooo" of than pitching a short 5-6 second fireball cloud.

I really don't have anything that special to show off.

My crowd pleaser yesterday was me shooting my Parker Hale Enfield 2 band. When I started loading, everyone stopped what they were doing to watch. Two guys stuck around until I finished firing four rounds. 495 geain mini balls make big holes in targets. I was only using 50 grains of FFFg Pyrodex, but it seemed to work fine. I havent fired a full 95 grain military load yet. Cleaning took a while after I got home.

Other crowd pleasers that I have other people shoot is anything suppressed. Everyone loves guns with cans.

I have a lot of guns and the one everyone can't get enough of is my Rohm Cowboy single action RG66 that has had thousands upon thousands or 22 rds thru it. The trigger is so worn it is less than a pound. First shot folks jump then all fun from there.

Not my pic but this is it with both cylinders:

7.5" .22 AR with drum mag , suppressor , and a "G" trigger. Everyone laughs as they mag dump it.

Others might be PSL , AP5, M1 carbine , and maybe a DMR suppressed AR.

Anything suppressed, but especially .22's.  Most people are scared of my .375 Rugers.  The recoil really isn't too bad, but they usually don't believe me when I say that though.  They think "elephant gun" and usually want no part of it.  The people who have shot it usually say something to the effect of "that's all?"

People ooh and ahh over my .308 Lone Eagle too.  No one has volunteered to fire that one yet, but they seem to want to watch me shoot it, so I guess it's a crowd-pleaser in a way.  The recoil is .44 Magnum-class, but the noise and blast are on another level.

My silenced MKIV and 10/22. So much fun I bought a second 22 can, so now both hosts will have dedicated cans.

I would say my 500a2. Lots of people are excited to shoot it....once. Aside from that my 300 blk pistol sees a lot of use.

Gordy carbine on a registered receiver lower... with the can its quiet and fast, remove can and it shoots fireballs out both sides about a foot.

Having an HK53 clone built and will probably go ahead and pick up the PTR 32p and 51 clones so I would say those three are gonna be putting some smiles on peoples faces.

4/42 Garand is always cool to anyone into history. No4 mk1 and m1 carbine are pretty cool to everyone. Folding stock ak's also get more attention than they should considering how much nicer a full wood stock shoots. I don't own one yet but suppressors always grab attention.

Buddy of mine has a braced charger 10/22 with a binary trigger and a red dot. 20 rounds out of that in like 3 seconds is pretty fun lol.

Ruger Redhawk .44 Mag

It's surprising how many people have never shot anything larger than a .38

Most think it's gonna just be terrible until they see me shoot it one handed.

I still only let people shoot it with one round in the gun just in case they are poor to handle recoil and trigger discipline

Everyone loves the muzzle blast and fireball

Off topic I'm sorry but can you recommend a specific drum mag for a .22 AR?

My suppressed SP5 and my Sig Legion 226 SAO. The SP5 for obvious reasons and the Sig because it's a phenomenal shooter.

Honorable mention to my suppressed 300BLK SBR build

My .22 AR and M1 Carbine get the new shooters wearing some big grins.

Everyone who's shot my M14 absolutely raves about it. So smooth, light recoil, excellent trigger, and superb iron sights.

I thought we were talking food. My pot roast, pork chops, pizza chicken and bacon chicken are popular with the family.

I don't have any cool guns. My M&P 15-22 is pretty popular with new shooters as are most .22s. My daughter has claimed my 15-22 as well as my Finnish Mosin. She's a bit of a recoil junkee. New pistol shooters I start out on my Ruger 22/45, and then move them to my 9mm Range Officer 1911.

I have a Browning Buckmark rifle with carbon fiber barrel and a red dot that is a real featherweight. With it’s comfortable shooting position and soft recoil it’s easy for beginners to score well on target and easily wins top honors when novice shooters are with me at the range.

My FN PS90 SBR elicits a lot of smiles also due to its futuristic looks and mild recoil.

I have exact same pistol you do except in burnt bronze. With a Silencerco Warlock 2 on it, it's always a favorite for people to shoot.
