I’ve had a few DBAL I2 9007s. They’re pretty good for what they are, especially for the price. You just have to zero them in the dark which kinda sucks

If you want the reach capability of a MAWL get a D2. If it's for a 75 yard max, very dark AO or you're trying to have a very low signature, then a 9007 is a great choice.
I had a few of them and never had a problem. To zero them simply over lap it to your already zeroed RDS at night to the furthest distance you can see all without firing a shot. |

I'll get hated on but for the money holosun is hard to beat. I only use them and mawls. The dbals are finicky and output is meh for over 1k worth of hardware and the atipalc is a joke at that price. I'd go holosun, persts, mawl in order of budget.

Happy with my perst 4. buddies perst 3 has been solid so far as well. shipping sucks ass and makes china seem fast, but their CS seems to be at least as good as the high dollar low power USA units.

Onboard fire button with my thumb overtop the TAPS switch. Most of my rifles are setup with clicky tailcaps and the light at 1 o’clock. May eventually add a tape switch. |

The biggest down fall of having a supplemental high power illuminator is that the laser maybe off to the side/top/bottom or any of the combinations. The Luna LN-ElIR-3 does have an adjustable beam and is an absolute Death Star planet destroyer especially if the filter happens to fall out of it after giving it a good field strip/cleaning of course
 . @Lowdown3 knows more than I do about them and I'm sure he could shed some excuse the pun "light or IR light" on the adjustability/capability of the Luna.

The Luna ELIR3 is the best cost effective illuminator we have found on the market. Only thing I would say is if your going to leave it on your rifle all the time, when you first get it loc tite the hell out of the screws holding the mount to the unit. I shoot a lot, upwards of 2,000 rounds a month before the AmmoApocolypse anyway the only issue I've seen is the mount came loose after a few months- but it was always on the rifle and the rifle was seeing a ton of use. I took it off, Loc Tite'd the hell out of the screws and have not had an issue since.
