Just finished up loading 100 rounds of 44 mag. 240gn lead with 8.5 grains of Unique and CCI 300 primers.
Also got my shipment of 1K of 240gn SWC from Blue Bullets in today. Nice that they are only one town over. I backordered 500 rounds of 44 mag Starline Brass 2 days ago, and got a shipping notice today. Those back orders are going out pretty quick. Attached File |

Last night loaded 50 9mm w/124gr LRN and AA#5 at 6.2gr. Max load in the Hornady 9th ed. Used this same load in the past with CZ75/BHP.
My son's G23 w/a 9mm barrel conversion wasn't ejecting 100% loads of 124gr w/ 700x at 3.5gr (max) last time out so thought we'd try a hotter load as an option. 700x was at 1009fps avg when chrono'd and matched Hornady's data through the BHP. #5 should be 1150fps per Hornady. |

Final tested my 6.5C load for semi auto and bolt gun. Goal was a load that worked well for both by mimicking the Hornady AG 140gr ammo. Found one that worked well, under 1 MOA in the semi auto and close to .5 MOA in the bolt gun. Will be loading a batch this weekend along with 5.56 and 9mm before I pack everything up for a move.

Jumped into salvaging the primers from a bunch of various rifle primed cases I acquired, mostly .300 Savage and .270 so far. Found that my Frankford Arsenal hand depriming tool works perfect for this. (Paid about $25 on Amazon last year due to the Team deals thread). Wore safety equipment just to be safe, no detonations.
Ran out of empty primer trays though to put the salvaged primers into, kind of a problem for safety reasons. Less than halfway done. Hmm. Wet tumbled the brass, gonna sell or trade it for calibers I need. Since I don’t know the exact primer brand and such, guess I will be doing some blaster .308 or light load .30-06 with them at some point. Found that I wet tumbled a live LR primer too. Oops. Gonna dry it out and see what happens, visually it looks good despite a couple hours of wet tumbling. I also have some LR primers I had dropped into oil as they looked sketchy, might dry off a couple of those as well. Shall report back which ones, if any, still touch off. (I like random knowledge…) |

Fired off 4 magazines of a few different 9mm reloads in my new Dagger - they all chambered and fired. I won't have to adjust my dies.
Also lit off some 158gr 38sp made with Ginex and Fiocchi primers, all went bang. |

Trimmed about 1K of .223, deburred, removed crimps…fun stuff. Loaded about 150 of them so far. Was no fun to trim as I had not cleaned off the Hornady sizing lube yet, so there was some extra hand strain to hold onto the casings. I didn’t want to deal with dry media in the primer pockets, but not getting that stuff off was a mistake.
So I next sized and then wet tumbled about 1K of nickel plated .223 cases to try to get the sizing lube off, some is still present, but good enough to move onto trimming. Will wet tumble again after trimming so it should all come off by then. Gotta figure out the easiest way to do this in the future though… Was gonna go to the gun show today, but my kid’s vehicle broke down so I had to organize a rescue and retrieval mission instead. Maybe tomorrow….Dryflash prob got all the good stuff today though! |

Need to clean and prep some more 5.56. I’ll start after lunch.

Loaded 298 rounds of 9mm then took the press down to pack up. Wanted to go for more but (a) I didn’t want to open another box of bullets and (b) I had to use my 9mm reload can for some loose ammo that I couldn’t fit anywhere else.

Threat of rain again today so I decided to load up some more .40 s&w for my PC4 Carbine. Loaded 700ea. 155grn coated bullets, Power Pistol powder, Remington SP primers in Speer nickel plated brass. With my 750, it took just over 1 hour from start thru cleanup as I had it already set up for .40 s&w.
Got a Severe Weather Alert on my phone just as I started so I had a nice bit of lightening, thunder and pounding rain as accompaniment to the normal sounds of the press. So, I opted to not turn on my tunes and listened to nature instead. |
