If this cost $29.90 instead of $299 i'd be all over it. How friggen hard is this to make in the day of cnc and laser cut and welded everything.

Thank you. I now have a $10 forged iron pot fork heading my way - only $12 for shipping but what the hell - I paid $20 FTF for the last one I bought at a rendezvous.

It's bronze - that's the nature of the beast. 5" long. 1.75" bore. Just a chunk of bronze 3" diameter by 5" long costs $200 or more if you were going to machine it from solid stock.. Honestly it's impressive that the price is so low. Copper and tin both got very spendy. Even for a casting house they're expensive metals to work with now - even more if it's 630 or 954 alloy or similar. |
