I figured this was the best place to post this question, but forgive me if it's in the wrong place. I'm hunting a WW2 era M1 helmet for my office and I'm not sure where to get one. I'm leery of fakes and reproductions and understand it's a huge problem in this world. I'm also not looking to become a collector of helmets.

Does anyone have a recommendation on where I could pick one up that is legit?  I just need a decent example, not anything rare.

Are you opposed to a reproduction? I have a helmet from J Murray and its a great example.

I've also seen really nice examples from At The Front that are a little more reasonably priced.

Try Omahas Surplus in Ft Worth Texas.  He had a bunch of late WWII shells for $100 each.

Outside of that, ebay may be the only place to find a reasonably priced one.  Especially if you are fine with a swivel bale rather than a fixed bale.
