I think I’ll use vinyl planks. It’s durable and cheap. Just waiting to get my final next month and then i can do more with it.

Bare concrete right now. I'm torn between the interlocking carpet squares or some kind of fake wood flooring. I don't have any pics but there's a style at Home Depot that is kind of grey toned wood. Would look awesome with the grey Gallow Tech panels.

thanks.  what are you planning for underlay then?  I assume it is going on a concrete basement floor?

Look at 6mm-8mm VLP, it’s like pergo but super heavy duty.

ya but I wonder about smell with those.  before I asked here I found these carpet tiles.  also they have things like coin matts.  the question for the coin matt though it what to use for underlay.

the grey distressed wood though I think would look nice w/ gallowtech stuff

i don't have a vault room, but if I did, bare stained concrete. Maybe small mats in strategic locations if the room is big enough to have work space in it, but otherwise a bare floor is the way to go.

I built my vault in my house that was built in the 50s.  The concrete had some cracks.  I had a guy put down acrylic concrete texture, stain and sealer on the floor.  The vault is smooth and brownish.  He also did my basement at the same time.  He charged about $3/ft.

I just put down some SmartCore Ultra from Lowes. They recommend it for installation right over concrete. I chose the grey hardwood look, its vinyl so no worries about moisture and it comes with the padding pre-applied to the back.

Mine's bare concrete, except where the safe sits and that's on those interlocking rubber mats.

I’m thinking that’s the way to go. No matter how careful we are everybody fumbles a firearm or parts of one eventually. Far better to have flooring that gives a bit than concrete for it to drop onto.

Since you’re paying the bill, I say do a nice terrazo floor!!

If I was the one paying, I would do one of the long lasting sating finish epoxy floors.
