Always wanted one of these, but the price and rarity have prevented it.
And I would be tempted to use it.
I had a Case bowie years ago that was a great knife but just wasn’t the same.
So I located a used Case for a good price and dismounted the plastic handle.
Since I couldn’t source the green horn for the handles, I compromised on green G10.

This weekend I got a little work done. Inletted the G10, got it glued up and pinned, also got it rough shaped.

Will post a pic when it is all done. I already have some ideas about replicating the horn look.

Going for this look. The Case blade and guard are very close to the original Collins. Just missing the fullers.

Odie- hows the leather holding up on your raider?

I think I’m gonna call this done. It’s gonna get beat up anyway. Have to make sure handle is comfortable in use.

Doing good. I admittedly can’t bring myself to abuse it though. Looks too dang good and I have plenty of knives I don’t care about to beat up.

That turned out great by the way. Looks damn authentic!
