Has anyone out there use a Troy M-LOK 11 rail on an 11.5" Barrel? Pictures would be awesome!

@allensaldi

The muzzle brake is pushed/spaced out by a JP lock nut. Otherwise, with the muzzle brake threaded 100% onto the threads, it would be recessed too much beneath the handguard to allow the suppressor to fully attach.

If you're not planning on suppressing it, then it's a non-issue and just use whatever muzzle device you want, because it will clear the end of the hanguard.

Hope that helps.

I do plan on running a can on it. Either one of my surefires or a SiCo omega with a Q Plan B.

Any idea on what the internal diameter of the rail is?

See the following comment from Troy in their original release announcement thread:

1.58" sounds about right considering I have a Specwar 556 in the photos above, which I believe is 1.5" in diameter, and it looks like it's just a tad smaller than the inside of the rail.

I must have gotten someone on the phone who didn't know what she was talking about then because I was told 1.38"

I found that to be errant so that is why I asked here.

So in theory the Omega will fit under the Rail

It will fit, the internal diameter is 1.58, I have the 7" on a 9mm upper with a 1.5" can under.
That being said, you likely wouldn't be able to access the link to the ring on the Omega ASR mount it that's your plan. Direct thread or Plan B/Griffin Taper Adapter would be the easiest solution

FWIW Troy has two different 'lines' of MLOK. One has a taper towards the muzzle end that is narrower than 1.5" and one (the older one) is a straight wall design that's 1.5"+

I know b/c I had to search out the older model in 7" config for my Honey Badger clone. So be careful.

ETA: 0.5" is enough clearance for surefire QD's IF you use the spacer provided for barrels without relief cuts. Keep in mind you need to be able to release the collar, hence the extra spacer needed, but I run 10" rails on 10.5" bbls w/out issue.
