Looking for a tritium bead sight to replace the brass bead on my 18.5" barrel for my mossberg 835. Anyone have experience replacing the stock bead with the meprolite tritium sight or similar?

Your 835 should have a 5-40 thread hole for the factory bead. Meprolight make a tritium bad with that shank size/thread that will screw right in. A bit of fitting might be required to (1) get it to screw in and have the bead facing right down the barrel and (2) make sure the shank does not protrude into the bore.

I used a Meprolight tritium front sight on my issued Remington 870.   Mine was easy to install and I really liked it.   When I retired I left the Tritium front sight on the shotgun.   Mine shot very close to point of aim and was still very visible after seven or eight years.
