Anyone use an Amber filter on thier patrol or reap?  I notice trijicon has the wilcox Amber filter as an accessory...but it's significantly more expensive then the wilcox filters for sale everywhere else...I assume it's the same one and they just mark it up and add their name?

I have the thread on amber style filter and yes have tried it.  Same as the pvs14 it got old with time removed and now run with shielded eye cup.

I did same as Terry1. When DSG had a great sale on shuttered eye cups, I got one and ditched the filter.
Filter or no filter, the splash screen on the IR Patrol is so bright it can probably be seen from foreign lands in violation of ITAR

I run a Wilcox Amber filter on mine.  It was too bright for me at night so thats why  I put it on.  I know I could lower the brightness on the REAP but I didn't want to have to worry about it every time I turned it on.  Turn it on and shoot..No waiting.
