It’s been about a month since I sent in my application and about three weeks since they charged my card. How long does it take to get notified for the interview? Do they call or email to set up a time?

I keep missing random calls that don’t leave a voicemail worrying that they’ll just deny the application based on no contact.

Thanks

It was around a month for me.
I got an email first and a call a week later because the email was in the spam folder and I didn't reply to it. But each IOI is different and your experience might vary from mine. I had my interview in Nov. and it was in person while most everyone else told me theirs was virtual.

I submitted mine late Oct, they processed my app on Oct 30 according to the stamp on my app. I have my compliance interview tomorrow, so a little over a month and a half or so.
My IOI called me Monday to set up the interview, then started emailing me yesterday and today all the required info. We will have a FaceTime interview tomorrow, he said it could go 2 hours.

Thanks. Feels good. The process was strangely simple and straightforward.  Except for the zoning weirdness.

Anyone know if I can pay thus FY SOT and next FY SOT at the same time. Or do I have to wait for the renewal?

Sent in my SOT payment. How long does it usually take to get that giant stamp back?

You mean it’s not a giant tax stamp? No way. Well, there goes my hopes for a unique stamp collection.

And my $500 SOT payment is due every year by June 30th? Next you’re going to tell me it’s not prorated.

Thanks for answering my question.

You don't get a stamp because you are now a Special Occupational Taxpayer.

Did you read the application for your SOT? You should do that now.

Next you’re going to tell me it’s not prorated.

You wrote the check, was there anything less than $500 as an option?

Thanks for answering my question.

You should calibrate your sarcasm meter - those were all jokes. I’m not your low hanging fruit that you are used to treating like crap. This may be my first FFL as an owner, but I do know my way around the block.

Do you treat your customers this way or is this just your online personality?

You asked a question, didn't like my response, then thanked me for not answering your question.
That sure as hell doesn't sound rhetorical or sarcastic does it?

My sense of humor is fine as is my sarcasm meter. Understand this is a technical forum, not GD and we rarely go a week without an FFL posting dumb shit. Not sarcasm, not trying to be funny or witty but genuine ignorance of ATF regs.

Are you sure?

Neither.
