I am planning on doing a few Form 1 builds for my PCCs.  I already have three lug barrels on several of them. Understanding that there are some variables with different manufacturers etc and I am sure I can work that part out.  My question is:

1.  If I do the D cell Maglite type build - where would I find the three lug adapter cap that would fit the tube?

2. Has anyone done one of these form 1 builds?  If so, mind throwing up a couple of pictures?

Thanks in advance!

You probably want to ask in the F1 forum.

Muter machine works sells two adapter rings for 20tpi d cell tubes. If you look in their site, it tells you what works with what but they both have tri lug adapter options

Sdta makes a bushing that fits in a d cell tube and fits the liberty 3 lug mount.  I’m doing one right now

There are a few manufacturers making tri-lug mounts that you can buy. I didn't save the results when I googled it but it's not hard to find.

Here's one - SD Tactical

Ok, thank you for that link.  So this will thread into the D cell tube directly?  Says B cell with D booster.  I should not need a booster using out of a PCC I wouldn't think.  Correct me if I am wrong - fairly new to this process.

That won’t thread into a d cell directly.  You need a booster bushing.  The bushing allows you to use a booster or a 3 lug mount on a d cell tube.  Boosters are usually B cell size.  This is the booster bushing

Few reports of the SDTA 3 jug not holding tight after a few rounds.

The booster cage from a Silencerco Hybrid fits into Form 1 tubes that are threaded for ASR compatible mounts (Diversified Machine ASR tube and Maverick Precision Talon/Phoenix).  That part is sometimes sold as a replacement assembly for around $100, and then you need to spend about the same for a 3-lug Mount from Griffin, or Rugged, or SiCo.

https://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/muzzle-devices/suppressor-adapters/hybrid-piston-adapter-prod96058.aspx

Since the SiCo 3-lug is self contained (doesn’t need a booster cage to capture the retention spring) it wouldn’t be hard to fabricate a thread adapter bushing to thread it right into the back of any tube big enough to take a thread adapter. Griffin and Rugged need the dimensional depth of a booster cage to compress/support their retention spring.

I'm on the same boat, bought the SilencerCo 3-Lug mount and SDTA 3-Lug to D-cell tube adapter ring.

But, they don't fit, the internal thread on the SDTA adapter ring is too big for the SilencerCo 3-lug mount.

Does anybody make a Ti adapter ring for the SilencerCo 3-lug mount to fit D-cell(1.5" OD) tubes?

No idea but I can confirm the liberty 3 lug mount fits the SDTA booster bushing

I would prefer the SilencerCo style 3-lug mount because it doesn't add another inch to the length.

But, on a side note, the SilencerCo mount I bought fits the Rugged Obsidian 45 perfectly.

I have a Obsidian 9 waiting for apprvoal, I'll just use the SilencerCo mount on it when it's out of NFA jail since mounts of Rugged 9 and 45 are interchangeable.

I just did one with a SiCo 3-lug. I used a 1.357” OD SPC tube. Rusty made me an adapter to fit the 3-lug into the tube. It works perfectly.

Use a SiCo Hybrid booster assembly and remove the piston and thread in the SiCo 3 lug module. Then use any aSR compatible tube, like DM ASR or Maverick Raven. Done.
