Templar Precision non-QD trunnion installed went smoothly, but that gas block was an absolute cunt to remove

I just did mine a couple weeks ago. Gas block was no issue. Couple good wacks to knock out the taper pins and it slid right off.

Lol I had to send my barrel assembly to Templar because I couldn't get the FH off

For some reason it looks like @Lerch641 's barrel nut is screwed in farther than mine is. I torqued it to 55 ft-lbs

I didn't reuse the spacer washer from the QD nut when I reinstalled it.

Sounds like Franklin Armory is going to be producing more ACRs but they also sound like they will be making changes. Hopefully the bolt & bolt carrier don't need much in the way of changing as to make the new ones incompatible with the existing rifles. I think for the bolt, that's a good bet.

Threw an ACOG on top for now from a rifle that just sits in the safe. Debating about getting an EOTech for it.

Still need to SBR it. And get to the range with it...

Looks good to me - are you going to get that barrel chopped?

.... AaaaAAand I've done it (registered it and installed it).
My barrel assembly came factory new (10.5") MINUS oprod (some call it piston) - so I'll have to cut my mid length one for this barrel assembly (I'll purchase a replica mid length oprod later for the 14.7" barrel assembly I have).

Does anyone know the correct actual length of the shorter, 10.5" barrel oprod?

Pic of complete assembly minus oprod

It was my lucky day last week! Got a message that someone had a long PTS handguard from Magpul to sell.

Along with the thicker PRS butt pad, this thing is actually starting to fit me
The MOE rails are forward enough too that my tripod can clamp down behind them and not block the charging handle.

Hope it's not me alone in here only.

Installed RCII, shot suppressed and unsuppressed, no hicks, no stuttering, just great shooting both ways. Happy.

It's done!

Not alone here, I'm just waiting on a local shop to get an order from Templar

Ordering a lower and new safety when they come in. Hopefully they get the G1 charging handle too.

I finally took a picture with the extended Midwest Industries handguard installed. I like it and it fits perfectly. My only complaint is that I wish it extended towards the muzzle all the way at the top/12c o'clock position instead of having a bevel/angle. It needed just one more rail section and it would look nice and squared off. They did the same thing with their AR-15 combat rail. That handguard would look amazing if the open end was squared off, but that bevel at the 6 o'clock position kind of ruins the aesthetics to be honest. Looking cool is important.

Now I need to get a slightly shorter barrel to make the suppressor flush with the handguard. If I could find one... I might have to roll my own if I want to do that. Franklin Armory needs to hurry up.
