Does the NFA tracker have its upper limits set at 400 days? I input my information about a week and a half ago and its still not showing up.

I just sent in the paperwork to Form 1 a blank AR-15 Lower into a Registered SBR:
1. NFA Item: Short Barreled Rifle 2. Transferee Type: Individual 3. Method: Paper 4. Form Mailed: April 9, 2018 5. Form Delivery: 6. Check Cashed: 7. Pending: 8. Approved: Current estimates say middle/late October of this year. |

My Suppressor that is currently in NFA Jail has been there since November 18 of last year. Currently - April 12, 2018 - the wait has totaled 145 days. While I hope I don't have to suffer through the 264 days of my Last purchase I hope to do some building on it before the year end. Reading other threads and other Sites the Wait Time has been going up and down like the Stock Market. Days 145 and 3. My last estimate is 214 days. Here's to it going to Turn-of-the Century waits.

Not really a complaint, but I just checked both my form 1 and form 4 that were received 11/24/17 and both listed as "pending". No mention of FBI BGC.

Looks like the last couple NON TRUST approvals put me in the 170 180 range.
Very much ridiculous considering the BOOK of stamps I already have.

3 days until I’ve been waiting exactly 6 months and upon calling today it seems that I have moved from the standard “pending” response to “we’re waiting on a background check from the FBI”

What's a reasonable time frame for a form 3? I'm almost to 3 weeks and do not recall waiting this long. I emailed the retailer to see where they are at.

Just a FYI to all. Just had a email come back from SS on a F1 SBS. Obviously my photo on file is over 1 year old and you have to update it. I was unaware of this.
So next time your dressed up nice take a new Silencer Shop passport photo. Carry on....... |

Called NFA Branch today. First time in 20 years. I just passed the 180 day mark on a Form1.
I was surprised they have a specific extension for FORM1's! The nice lady said " processing ". So in other words, they haven't even looked at it yet is my guess. She said 8 months is their back-log.

I picked up my 2nd form 4 from my dealer yesterday, said another LE customer just received his stamp from a f4 can, 7 months. My first one should be either late may or june.

Still waiting on a Individual F4 that was submitted 12 months ago...
Between the wait and dealer issues I'm having I'm done with NFA for awhile. There is zero consistency. At this point I feel like I would have been better off if I had held the forms and submitted them in August/September. |

Check cashed JAN 26, 2017 for a Form 4 to a Trust with 2 responsible persons. Been in FBI background check land since September 2017. Still there.

Form 4 individual finally approved may 1.
I submitted mid August 2017 and was stuck in FBI background check since Feb or before. 8 months and 1 week, or 250 days total. Now just hoping they can mail it in a reasonable timeframe without the USPS mangling it. |

Called again today and was told both my form 1 and form 4 (submitted 11/20/17) are both still pending, but the lady also said that both will be going to an examiner soon. So hopefully that means my stamps will be approved soon!

I've never ever ever had that kind of delay. Sad times we live in. I dont have the form yet. I called them today 16 days after my first call on the 1st when she told me 8 months. So its not REALLY 8 months. Off to the engraver soon.

Last year I made a Nuisance of myself counting out 264 days of Waiting.
THIS year The Wait is/seems to be 26 to 28 weeks long. Give or take depending upon your luck (and lack thereof). I have a Mid-November PENDING. My calculations say "Any Time Between Right Now (May 16) to Early June. (sigh)
Oh, I have a Form 1 in the works, but I don't expect it until just before |

I go into the sheriff to renew my license to carry on Friday, get a response saying PICS is down you’ll get your renewal in the mail when it goes through. Received it today.
But here I am still waiting for a background check to clear on a 10/26 submission.
