What would you suggest to put in a JPC 2.0? They cost close enough to the same to make price a wash.

Tencate, also sold as STOP, FM STX, Duritium GT, etc: thin, supposedly will stop at least one round of M855A1, but a little heavier and not rated for 308

3810: lighter weight, rated for 308 but thicker and won't stop M855A1(?)

Maybe if I was wanting to use a Slickster, etc and have lower profile plates, etc the thinner plates would make sense. But in a JPC 2.0 with mag shingle, etc does it really make a difference? Seems like the half pound per plate might be more valuable.

ETA: or maybe one of each? Thinner plate in the back might be nice for sitting, etc.

The Duritium GT2 is rated for .308 if I am reading the graph right.

The gt2 is new and apparently different than the normal gt.

I actually already own a set of 3810 and a set of midwest stx fm (tencate).

So I'm trying to decide which to keep

I have the FM STX from last years group buy and they are very nice plates.

They still don't really multi hit rate that GT2 for .308.  They post that chart, but everytime I've asked one of their main employees he tells me that plate really is focused on 5.56, especially since they made the GT2 1 lb lighter..

3810 wasn't TESTED for a round of A1, there's a difference. I've read other posters speculate that it could?

I've seen a few anecdotal videos where the tencate takes a round of 855a1 but can't seem to find anything with a 3810 being shot with one
