Hey guys,
Got a t36k pistol and waiting on a brace to be delivered here soon. I plan to use the brace until I get  the sbr paper work in and approved. My question is those of you who have the g36/t36 on a brace or standard stock(which I’m gonna use once the paper work clears) what optic are you using and what mount. It seems like anything placed on the top rail will be very high so I thought I would ask what you guys did or would do. Looking for a 1x.

I'm running the 1.5x E (export) optic on my G36K, and the original 3x dual optic on my G36, but that C rail is about as low as they come. You can easily punch out the pin and remove that front sight if it bothers you.

Here's an aluminum OPS2 rail that might be a mm or so lower. I believe they were discontinued, but I snagged one off GunBroker years ago for red dot use.

I got my T36K Pistol in a few weeks ago and have been running it stock since then. I'm planning on swapping out the scope rail with a B&T aluminum one that has flip-up iron sights, as well as mounting an EOTech XPS3-2 and G33 magnifier.

I want the XPS series because it's the absolute co-witenss model, vs. the EXPS models, which are lower 1/3 and sit higher. In general, EOTechs sit up pretty high compared to an Aimpoint. If you want your optic to sit super close to the stock scope rail, you could attach an Aimpoint T-2 via a low mount. As a matter of personal preference, I've chosen the EOTech.
