Back when this ammo was readily available, there was a thread on the forum about problems with some lots. My search skills are sadly lacking and I'm not able to find the thread. CMP has a thread about it but, if I recall correctly, the thread here had more info. Can someone provide a link to the thread on this forum? Thanks!

Don't have link handy...but it's only applicable to PS 75 headstamp and only certain lot#s


Anything else is fine

PS-145 to about PS-165  if I remember right. All 75 headstamp date.

There are a ton of 1975 lots so unless it's in the original sealed box with LOT # don't buy it.

I think the corrosive stuff had a KA headstamp.

Yes.  KA is corrosive.  PS is non-corrosive.

I have about 600 rounds of KA that came with a trade.
Not sure what to do with it.

Thinking about shooting it up in the lower grade Garand. I'll just have to clean the mess out of it.
