Hi folks, I'm currently looking at a Silencer Co. Chimera.
Will be my first can.....to match a 10.5" 300blk, and laso my 16" 5.56. I'm 6'2", 250 lbs so the weight doesn't bother me as much. Pros - cons? I'm open to discussion. Thank you!

Can’t go wrong with a Sandman S. It’s a 30 cal can that can be used with 30 cal and 223/556 mounts. You will want a QD so you can swap between weapon systems.

.22lr capable of 5.7
30cal I really like my omegas 300
45 pistol can in that order.

After you have a bunch get into specific cans

The Chimera is an okay choice, probably over built for your needs. Maybe look at the Omega36, Omega300, EA Vox, or YHM Resonator. Lots of other great choices in 30cal cans...

I vote a Rugged Radiant for your needs. Just my .02. Like has been mentioned, there's a ton of great choices that you'll be happy with.

I'd go Omega36M.

Can do 5.56, 7.62, .338 and 9mm, all in a modular can.

I use my Omega 300 on my 12" .300BO, my 16" 5.56, and my 13" 5.56. It works great, I like their muzzle device choices, and no problems in a combined ~4k rounds.

I would trust SilencerCo again, whether the Chimera or another Omega.

Best of luck with the decision and wait time.

Thanks all, for the input. Now it comes down to availability.
I want to put this stamp in the pipeline rather soon.
Thanks again!

I recently bought my first to use on .308, 6.5G and 5.56, I went with the Nomad 30, partly due to availability.
