Some welding and hand blending a new trigger guard ear.

This was a first for me. I have got them in for the ears where the roll pin goes through but never where the spring pin goes. Customer got an old lower that was stored a long time. The buffer detent was rusted in and the trigger guard was installed backwards. The roll pin cracked the ear. As soon as I did just a little prep to repair it the ear fell off. So I built up some material and used carbide burs then progressively softer bits to smooth it out. It is not perfect or exactly as new but fully functional and much better that it was.

That's awesome. I would have been happy if one person other than myself gained something from that thread. I still get questions and comments regularly. Apparently it's popular! But honestly, compiling and detailing all the info helped me a ton too.

This is a great community, we all have something to offer. Just showing what you've done inspires others. Many wouldn't know some of this is possible without threads like this one.
