Here's a couple travel bag options for the MP5K variants.

SOG SURREPT/12 CS Backpack.  Additional discount with code Mwr40 (if still valid?). Also, free shipping.

SURREPT/12 CS - REVERSIBLE CARRY SYSTEM - CHARCOAL $37.99

Case Logic VNA-216 16-Inch Laptop Attache (Black) $32.00

I also bought the the bigger SURREPT/16 CS DAYPACK - CHARCOAL.  It's bigger and seems more durable than the surrept 12 above.

SURREPT/16 CS DAYPACK - CHARCOAL $62.99

Very cool but I just wish the back pack straps looked more solid.  That looks like a torn backpack if you carried it more than once.

Very cool. Thanks for the heads up.

"Most backpacks are too big or heavy for everyday use. This one is a light backpack but big enough for my Mac Air or even my Mac Pro. Solid construction and good design are typical SOG qualities." - Customer Review, July 2021

Mac Air? I was looking for something for my MAC-10...

Nice.  I can't foresee using a backpack in my rural area, but the laptop bag would be a nice case without screaming "gun".  The Amazon link shows 32.00 for me(prime member), does construction and stitching look solid on it?

Seems pretty solid to me.  But I've only used it as a range bag on a few trips.  The reviews should have more info. (4.7 out of 5 with 4500 reviews).

I just clicked the link and it's also shows $32.  I think the $24 was a sale price that's now over.

Here’s the 16 SOG back pack with its hidden back compartment.  The zippers can be locked together.

Mine fits perfectly in a computer backpack that I picked up at Walmart years ago.
It's for a notebook with a 15" screen, not one of the super small ones.

The 9KT fits in the padded computer compartment and leaves the rest of the bag for other stuff.

For the P model do you prefer the 12 or the 16?

I haven't used either yet.  But the 16 seems to be a better quality/durable bag & allows more room for other stuff.

I have one of these Vertx Last Call backpacks, it has a big zip-open area in the back panel meant to hold a pistol or other hidden gear apart from the main backpack storage space.  It's a few inches too short for a full-size MP5, but would probably take the K model nicely, it's about 17.25"H x 11"W

This is an old, inexpensive canvas briefcase.
It’s 15” long so the PTR fits.

This one from Amazon should work:
Lenovo bag

Much cooler leather waterproof bag.

Small sling bag works also:

Those are pretty cool and don't seem like a bad option to take the gun to the range. I really just want to get one of those hard briefcase models for "transporting" but they are a little pricey.
