Bowers Vers 458.  Practically bullet proof.  I run it on my MAC-10, 450 Bushmaster, 458 SOCOM and 45 Raptor.  Bowers has thread inserts for just about any thread size.

I believe Bowers doesn't rate it based on barrel length, but bullet velocity.  2650 fps for the Vers 458.

I have a Bowers 458 in NFA jail.  I will be using it on 458 socom.

I had originally bought a Hybrid 46 to put on a 12" 458Socom build but it's turned out to be very useful on smaller calibers and other bargains keep distracting my build-money from getting a Tromix upper.  A friend still has a Vers 50 pending so hopefully in the next 6-months we will be able to compare.

The Hybrid has good muzzle device support and the Anchor Brake front cap does more recoil reduction than just a flat front end cap on a suppressor alone.

I'm using a Hybrid on mine with an ASR mount.  Trouble is I use the same can on several other 45 rifle hosts and switching mounts is a PITA.  Really need another can.

Running the Wilson Combat whisper on my 458, AR45, and 6.8 SPC. Does great on all of them. Light and short can but effective.

I have a Hybrid for mine, although the gun still isn't finished

I had a Tromix 458 and was using my Hybrid. It sounded ok but was louder than any other rifle+can combo including 556. It was way to loud and to much recoil for my liking so I sold the upper.

I bought the Hybrid for the sole purpose of using it on a .458 socom. Now it will live on a single shot 45-70.

Imo shoot ine before you buy into it all.

My brother bought a titanium suppressor for his Rock River 16” upper, and was disappointed to discover it's louder w/ subs than his 7.62x39mm w/ supers.

The Liberty Goliath looks like a beast, and seems to have universally good reviews. I plan on getting one in the near future.

I had my CAC45 upgraded to VERS458 specs so I could run it on a SOCOM.   Still need to buy the SOCOM.

Bowers curiously rates the can based on velocity.  I keep threatening to have my .375 H&H threaded so I can run this can on it...  so I can be that guy, the guy with a suppressed .375 H&H...

Same here. I bought my CAC-45 in 2000, and got the .458 upgrade 2 or 3 years ago, with the intent to get my .45-70 Contender barrel threaded. I still haven’t threaded the barrel, but I did just order a Bear Creek .458 upper.

The appropriate mount should arrive from Bowers today. Still waiting on a shipping notice from Bear Creek.

Lol.  I ordered my brother's Rock River upper after Sandy Hook, and I think we waited like 14 months for it.

Ouch.  Yeah, things (or maybe it was people) went a little nuts in that timeframe.

I did just get my shipping notice today though.  So hopefully I'll have everything put together and shooting by this weekend.
