I just wanted to shout out a great CS experience I just had with SilencerCo.

My SpecwarK 556 that Ive had since 2016 had turned into a flame thrower. Pretty much failing to mitigate any flash.

I sent the can in, and within 10 days I had it back. They essentially turned the old Specwar into a Saker. Fully re-cored with a changeable endcap and the Saker style changeable mounting system. It's pretty much a brand new can.

All of this free of charge.

I took the can out at night and it performed like a suppressor should, no more obnoxious fireballs. Just a nice jet of flame out the front.

Again, I just wanted to put a spotlight on an excellent customer service experience. Thanks SilencerCo!

Did you take any photos of the baffles before you sent it in? I'm curious how much baffle erosion there was.

I got my second round BOGO can a couple weeks ago, from back in February.

I've also had excellent customer service experiences with SiCo as well.  Have been a proud/happy owner of their products since the SWR days.

I had a good experience with them as well, with my Osprey needed its locking lever adjusted to tighten it up.  One email led to a return label, and quick turnaround time.

I'm interested in what happened to your Specwar K, as I have the same can.

Did it see a lot of use, with a short barrel and lots of fast firing?

Was the sound suppressor reduced, or just the flash?

Did you see any erosion when you looked down the can?

Did S Co tell you what had happened to it?

The can saw pretty heavy use for about 5 years. All on a short barrel. Noise suppression seemed unchanged, it just didn't hide flash like a suppressor should.

I couldn't really see any erosion, just tons of carbon. I think the can was just so full of carbon it was negatively affecting how the can performed.

SiCo didn't tell me what happened to it. I'll give them a call to say thanks and asked what the final diagnosis was.

I was just happy to receive back an essentially brand new can with 0 questions.

OP, I agree. I had a baffle strike on my Specwar 7.62, my fault, they fixed for free.

Same can, the dowel that is a stop for the lock ring fell out. Sico said they could send me some or I could return can for a free upgrade to a threaded screw.
I returned the can.
