All I can come up with is "down for maintenance".

All of these kits fix your spacing to a static number.
Up until these were being sold, it was thread after thread of "what's the best spacing for XX".
All of a sudden no one cares about spacing, because it looks cool and you have a ton of threaded parts?

I hope they release a .22 sized version. A F1 erector knockoff would be badass

This is what happens when you run 5.56 through it. Less than 8 mags. Unknown barrel length or ammo.

*not mine. Pic from owner on FB.

...I'm finding it hard to feel empathetic when someone is ignorant enough to put 5.56 through an over priced aluminum suppressor. There's 5.7" cans that aren't modular but cost about half that with titanium K cup baffles, I really don't see the appeal in an aluminum modular can.

non-modular but only $250, with Titanium K cups... so, yeah no, keep your over priced modular crap.

If you're using it for handgun calibers, it being aluminum isn't really a big deal. Last I heard they do plan on selling steel cups eventually if you want to reinforce the first couple of baffles for rifle use. Griffin makes a can of similar design.

The appeal of this can, in my mind, is being able to submit a form 1 to the ATF that lists a suppressor much longer than you actually plan on using and drilling baffles for multiple calibers essentially "cheating" your way into two or more suppressors for the cost of a single stamp.

Maybe that doesn't appeal to you but with the speed these things are selling out from SS, it seems it does to a lot of people.

Would the ATF would frown on you drilling out 100 cups if you listed the can as 24” on your form 1 and each cup was (random number for ease of discussion) 1” thick since that’s more cups that you could assemble into the design they approved?

Yes,  that would be illegal.  Extra suppressor parts (mainly baffles, as now different end caps seem to be OK) are considered unregistered suppressors by the ATF.

The way the ATF views suppressors is funky,  but so is most of their thinking.

Just got mine. The specs say it's "Titanium Ti-6Al-4V (Grade 5)".

I think all the thread mounts are chrome-moly.

The other parts - end caps, baffles and tubes - seem to be available in "LD" (aluminum), "HD" (stainless steel) and "PRO" (titanium).
