So does anyone know of maybe a release date for this? I was hoping something would have happened this week, but no such luck.

View Quote There's no one here, other than me, that would know about release dates, because we haven't talked anything about release dates in an official capacity. We've just released the first production run of the SPEAR. Releases of other variants will all come in due time. |

Will civies be able to remove the muzzle device and put on their own mounts and non-sig suppressors?

Quoted: Will civies be able to remove the muzzle device and put on their own mounts and non-sig suppressors? View Quote I was going to reply that "of course we will"... But then I remembered that the Raptor has an 8 inch 308Win/7.62x51 Barrel. So... "I hope so" seems to be a better response. |

Looking at the prototype Raptor video, it looks to be a gas trap set up similar to the 5.56 Rattler and we know that one can’t be removed. I guess we wait and see.

With as short and handy as the Raptor is, I think I'm most interested in seeing how well it can be converted to 8.6 Blackout.

If you watch the video/ interview by TFB, it will give you a general idea on MSRP. Wasn’t even close to $4299.00.

About the price of the rattler plus 20% is what I gathered. It was a good video if you haven’t seen it. I just watched it again and he actually said it would be competitively priced to the MCX line.

Coregon, maybe you could answer this.
Was the Raptor developed at the request of a military unit like the MCX and Rattler? |

[#26]
No update. The standard size commercial variant hasn't released. The Raptor won't come until after that.

View Quote Though I understand that, it doesn’t appear that coregon has a history of spilling the beans on product releases before the official press release from Sig (other than some vague details of “somethings coming”, etc.). So asking him twice a month for updates seems a little excessive to me. I’m sure he probably has a decent idea on when they’ll be for sale to the unwashed masses, but he also (again, I assume) likes keeping his job which means not giving out unreleased confidential information to strangers on the internet. |

Hey Coregon, in regards to that civilian Spear we're discussing here, can you ballpark the price for us? $ 7,995.00 is no bueno.

View Quote $7,995 was the Limited Edition model price - which was the ACTUAL NGSW configuration (sans select fire lower) + the NGSW silencer (only available on this model). I actually argued we could have sold them for more (to the dealers who received) - and it turns out, I was right about that The commercial variant(s) will be in line with their comptetition - SCAR-H, LWRC, etc. But, they wont be as expensive as a SR25. |

@coregon
Thanks for the reply, have the velocity numbers for the raptor been made public yet? I’d love to read up on what the 277 will do in a shorter barrel, everything I can find is with a much longer barrel. |
