I have a 556xiR that was purchased as a pistol and converted to a SBR. Nothing was done other than putting a stock on it and changing out the FH for a seekins.
When I first got this back in the day I didn't have any issues with it. Now about 4-5K rounds later, I'm guessing, I'm having all kinds of extraction issues. Every mag will have issues ejecting the spent casing. Mags are not the issue either.
The fired round will actually spin 180 degrees in the receiver and get lodged in there. I have no clue why this is doing this. Gun was completely cleaned 100% that you can eat off it. Still happens. I was going to try and remove the extractor and check out the spring but it looks like Sig peened in the extractor pin.
I plan on calling sig sometime this week but I'm sure they will want me to send it back in or tell me to use brass. I've never used brass ammo in this and it ran fine before.
Any ideas?
