You're a wizard, plus Kevin said yes when I said please make Saker mounts for the Cherry Bomb too.

It's pretty exciting. Potential for good weight drop with the module and muzzle device.  I am very curious about the taper magic.

From what I've seen, it's pretty legit. I have a Trash Panda in jail so I dont have real world experience, but I dont doubt their knowledge and testing. I think I'm going to go full Cherry bomb mounts now, I have one Omega and 2 Sakers, so with a Plan B for all of those and my Trash Panda, I can easily swap cans around.

Has anyone heard anything about when he was going to start shipping out end caps and adapters?

I know he’s busy and don’t want to bother him asking. Imagine if everyone who was on the wait list sent an email every month. That would get annoying fast.

Huh, at first I thought it was a mini can but then saw the muzzle end. So does it sound different than just the FH? Seems like it would increase recoil, obviously not a lot because 5.56 is small, but is it noticeable?

I can't tell a difference with recoil at all honestly. I use a Bootleg adjustable carrier and a H2 buffer so I'm not sure what effect that may have. The main reason I wanted it was to able to shoot my SBRs with brakes without all the concussion.

I received my .30 end cap yesterday. I haven’t got the chance to try it out on my hybrid yet (I need to load up some more 300 blackout tonight).

All I can say is it looks great and he does some great work. If more people could see his work and hold it in their hands silencerco wouldn’t sell any end caps ever again.  His are so much cheaper and lighter and they look great.

Got my 30 cal Omega cap from Howard today as well.  I agree 100%.  He does great work.  I replaced a Sico flat cap and Howard’s cap is much lighter and looks great.

Also, compaired directly with the Sico cap the exit hole is slightly smaller on Howard’s.

Now I just have to convince myself I don’t need the Q cherry bomb adapters for the Omega and Saker........

That's impressive!
I need some Ti parts someday.
Currently, I have 3 Omegas, a Hybrid, a Chimera, a Harvester, an Omega 9K and a Griffin Revolution that all use Silencerco mounts.
Waiting on DM to make more Ti Omega mounts for Griffin and Q brakes.
I sent a message to Q asking for a 9mm Cherry Bomb and an adapter to fit the 9K/Octane/Revolution/Obsidian/Harvester thread pattern. It would be even better in Ti from DM but the 9mm CBs don't yet exist.
A brake-mounted Omega 9K would be sweet on a CMMG Banshee setup.
Dropping some weight from a 300BLK PDW would be nice too....
Endless possibilities...

Anyone have him do a one off job?
I’d like a mount in m26x1.5 left hand
Run a .30 F1 on a m85 5.56 AK

I had Howard make me Omega M15x1 direct-thread adapters in Titanium. They just arrived one day, after I sent him a check for them. Look great with that black PVD finish he is doing now.

Anyone know when DM will have the Titanium Griffin Sico adapters in stock? I was going to go the plan B route for a precision bolt gun, but like Griffins Titanium minimalist brakes over the cherry bomb.

Is it just an illusion, or is the the DM adaptor slightly smaller than the can in diameter? Can you post a pic of it mounted to the brake? Thanks!

Probably a little bit of an illusion. It's painted Flat Black now. I'll post up a picture later mounted up. Works perfect thus far, shot it last weekend. Just have to use the GA Minimalist mounts the longer GA mounts will not work.

That’d be great man! I’d love to see a picture of the adaptor mounted to the can since it’s been painted too.

So I got a DM Griffin adapter in.   Very nice.   Also very shiny.

Decided to try the Oxi-clean oxidation thing.

- ~1hr wet tumbling with stainless steel pins, with duct tape masking off the threads and interior taper.  Pretty minor effect but I gave it a try.
- Little bit of wet sanding with really fine grit sandpaper on the outside outer circumference and rear
- Dried the mount, cleaned with non-chlorinated brake cleaner

- ~4 hours in hot water with half a scoop of Oxi-clean.  I changed the water and re-added more powder each hour.   On the last water change, I lightly re-sanded and rinsed in hot water before putting it back in.

End result turned out great.  Don't have any pics handy but it's a nice medium purplish-bronze.   Not much splotchyness - though that will result if you have powder granules sitting in contact with the part.   Sort of like the Q Plan B, but darker, and a more even finish than the blem mounts they sold recently.

Edit:  added pic

Unsure if its possible, but does anyone know if there is an adpater for a Silencerco Omega Mount  onto the Silencerco Saker?  Reson why I ask is that I have a Saker MAAD Blast Shield w/o the MAAD module and I'd like to use Omega Mounts with the Blast Shield.

Is that the same finish Q uses?

I did the anodize method and tried a few different voltages for different colors

Instead of tumbling you can surface etch titanium with Whink Rust Remover. It only takes a few seconds, it's pretty neat

It will also take the new finish off in seconds if you want to change or redo it
