Here's how I did mine, e-filed individual, took nine days to approve. I'm not an expert but it worked for me.
1 - Yes 2 - Destructive Device 3 - 40mm 4 - M203 - I would omit the space 5 - Again I'd omit the space, I don't believe that's part of the serial number 6 - 9" 7 - If I recall the engraving can go on the barrel or receiver. I chose the top of the barrel |

|
Uhhhh, I'll have to find the form and check but I think I just looked it up at 12"
|
|
I have a 12" barrel and the Overall length is 15"
ETA- I engraved the top side of the receiver |
|
I have a LMT.
12 inch barrel, OAL 15 inch. Model "M203" No space. Good luck, and it is a horribly fun gun to shoot. Edit: Destructive Device. |

Pick up a back issue of Impact: Journal of Tactical Ammunition to get the lowdown on ammo choices for the 40mm.
The author may be a raving asshole, but knows his 40mm. |

How did you submit the Form 1? My e-file individual form 1 came back in 9 days, sent the fingerprints priority... I thought I'd made a mistake when received the email so fast.

I've thought about going this route for my M4 clone. Talk to me about shooting the 40mm. Are you just using chalk rounds, or are there other fun options that aren't too expensive per round? Where did you source the colt receivers for the grenade launcher? Currently, I only find LMT receivers in the military configuration? How much are the Colt versions?

Here's mine (Colt M 203 with a 12 in bbl)
The person shooting it is a retired ST6 vet who was showing us the ropes at a carbine class last month. Wasn't even using the ladder sights - just KY windage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-AjfduUKkI&feature=emb_title |

My reaction on 012020 when I put the video, the picture, and the screenname together... https://media.giphy.com/media/GlMN2r04gXTgs/source.gif Pic thread: Unfortunately can't add to it. Hopefully in 2021. I got the big 3 taken care of (NV, Armor, Suppressors). Planned to do a standalone 203 as I have no good way to mount it to my go to rifle which is an SR15 Carbine Mod 2 Edit: If it was actually obtainable to us, I wouldn't hesitate getting a half dozen HE at $40+$200 (and building a magazine). I had no idea it was that cheap. View Quote As for your 203 mounting solution, you can attach 2 pica sections to your URX4 MLOK slots and use a pica mounted LMT M203 |

I have no doubt the URX4 rail is probably strong enough, but would the MLOK rail sections actually take the force of firing? I guess I will either send KAC an email or post in the industry forum asking about the viability of mounting a 203 on a Mod 2. Standalone isn't a bad option however. |

Quoted: Who makes that first stand alone? Very slick. View Quote https://www.fab-defense.com/en/category-parts-and-upgrades/id-57/m203-standalone-conversion-kit.html The stock is available in either L or S length. Mine is L, and the S is pictured at the above link. I'd avoid S unless you're a really small guy wearing body armor. The L is still almost too short for my 6'2" self with a plate carrier. I ordered from their distributor in FL. It doesn't include the forward mounting screws for whatever reason, but Ace Hardware had them (yes I brought it inside ). I like it because it's lighter and more compact than the LMT conversion, but the LMT does feel slightly more solid with its aluminum construction. One nice thing about the LMT is the launcher can QD using the KAC bracket, and immediately be attached to an M4. The FD-203 requires disassembly (to include swapping the back plate on the receiver). |

Want 40mm.
I cannot continue in good conscience to sit through movies / tv shows and criticizing the plot “have they never heard of belt fed and Indirect fire?!?” if I fail to have both in my set of tools. |
