Shot some loads with the SW "precision rifle" that is totally, absolutely, positively NOT varget... we got the point, SW!
Only shot it in .308WIN.
Around 85*, 20" barrel, FGMM and M118LR cases (they weigh the same and behave the same), BR2 primer, 175gr SMK seated to ~2.815 OAL.
38gr, 2325AVG/14SD/29ES
39gr, 2384/9/18
40gr, 2410/11/23
41gr, 2481/9/18
42gr, 2534/10/20
Groups were decent, not as tight as ARCOMP, m118lr, or TAC, but respectable and would probably get there with further development.
Around 80*, same rifle, 165gr red plastic tip midway factory seconds (I believe they are Hornady SST), MEN-16 cases, WLR primer, I'd have to go grab my load tag but IIRC 2.800 OAL.
39gr, 2378/12/24
40gr, 2421/8/17
41gr, 2484/16/31
42gr, 2565/8/16
43gr, 2612/15/29
3 shot groups. It kept trying to stack 2 shots and then throw #3 to around 1¼" at 100yds. Pretty good results considering the input and cost.
I would absolutely buy more of this powder and continue testing/using it. Seems like good stuff.
