I just bought a 12ga Stoeger Coach gun that I haven't taken possession of yet and I'd like to replace the plastic plate with a recoil reducing rubber butt pad. Are there any direct replacements or grind to fit models that are close? I've been searching online and people talk about replacing the butt pad with this one or that, but they never post the part number of which one they bought, so if someone can do that I'd appreciate it.

Not sure if this will fit, it's the slip on pad.  There's also a 1 inch pad that they carry. It's all I could really find though.  LOVE my coach gun, it's one of the coolest guns I own!

Thanks, but I'm not looking for a slip on or lace up pad. I've read old posts on multiple forums where people added a Limbsaver or other brand of rubber pad to these shotguns, but they never mention the part number or size. I posted this question on a few other forums and everyone is just naming brands which I know about. I've fit Limbsaver pads before, but I was able to bring the plastic plate to a store and find the one that fit. I can't do that now since none of the stores around me have them in stock them anymore. I don't have the shotgun in hand and I'd rather not have to return multiple pads until I find the right one.  I even called Stoeger and they said they don't know of any direct bolt on pad nor did they know the size of the butt plate or what aftermarket brands might fit. This is why it would be best to hear from someone that actually changed it out.

I think this one might fit, but I won't know until I have the shotgun in hand. https://kickeezproducts.com/collections/pre-fit-shotgun-recoil-pads/products/pre-fit-kz-111-recoil-pad]https://kickeezproducts.com/collections/pre-fit-shotgun-recoil-pads/products/pre-fit-kz-111-recoil-pad,https://kickeezproducts.com/collections/pre-fit-shotgun-recoil-pads/products/pre-fit-kz-111-recoil-pad

Once you get the shotgun inhand, just take a piece of cardboard and trace the butt plate outline onto the cardboard and use it to compare with others you find with measurement or size. This way you won't get an undersized pad by mistake and if oversize, you can at least grind down to correct shape/size by using the template.

My dad who was a self taught gunsmith and also made custom gun stocks for his needs, used this trick for many years.

So I printed out the sixteen pages of templates from Limbsaver and not a single one will fit. None of the screw holes line up and none of them are wide enough. I now have to look through each of the other brands to see if something will fit, but it's not looking good so far. ETA: Just checked Pachmayr grind to fit templates and no luck there either. Even the Kick Killer lace up pads are not wide enough.

For anyone wanting to know the dimensions: W: 1.81"  L: 4.95"  Screw hole spacing:  3.43"
