An 1885 is a single shot falling block rifle.  The cost is similar to or less than magazine fed lever action rifles.  That is not the only rifle made by Uberti.

Whether the price is okay depends on the condition, and if it's an older model with a fish belly stock, I'd pass on looks alone.

The actions are great, I have three, two Brownings and one Cumberland Mountain Arms.  One of the Brownings is not a true 1885 internally.

1885's are in production by several companies, so you can have everything from a cheap Italian gun, to a good Jap made gun, to an excellent Made in the US custom rifle.
