[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Scar 17 rear sight exploded!

Was at the range... after a few shots i feel something hit me in the face. Freaked me out! I mean, it hurt! Look down and the post on my rear sight had popped off completely. Picked up the parts, but it will not go back together. Anyone else had this issue? My scar has a few hundred rounds through it.

Incase you run into a brick wall and have no other alternative...Lifeline.

I have ordered from them before and they are a good company to deal with.

Im not sure i want to spend 170 bucks on something that breaks so easily

It looks all there, I could be wrong. OP have you tried pushing those parts back together? I know that's the obvious question. You can try to call FN for a replacement, but the two times I have called them it wasn't fruitful. You may have just gotten a bad one, mine handles all kinds of abuse.

It threads together somehow.. but it wont go back together... trust me, ive tried

Have you considered contacting FN USA? That looks like it should be sent in for warranty repair/replacement.
