I don't know about the SCAR 16, but, I have a SCAR 17 and replaced the muzzle break with an AAC Blackout QD flash hider/ suppressor mount. I didn't need any thing other than removing the muzzle break and screwing on the AAC flash hider.

Yeah. Works fine. I run a Brevis Delta P on a factory barrel that PMM chopped to 10.5”. I was running it successfully before the chop too.
